Harry Fenn has joined Arundel-based Sprint Electric as supply chain manager, a key appointment for the company as they implement a global growth strategy following a wave of investment. Harry joins with an impressive track record in supply chain management. A qualified electrical engineer, Harry started out in project engineering for a satellite antennae manufacturer.
Sprint Electric, a world leading manufacturer of drives for industrial motor control, has won Innovate UK funding for its groundbreaking Generis AC Regeneration drive. This patented AC drive technology provides precise control of AC electric motors combined with efficient energy regeneration, a need not adequately addressed by traditional AC variable frequency drives.
The Generis AC regeneration drive will be introduced at SPS via a series of daily technical presentations by Neill Drennan on the 14-16th of November. We are pleased to announce several key appointments to the Sprint Electric team before the unveiling of the Generis at SPS in Nuremburg. By employing the highest standard of drives engineers since 1987, we have developed world class products for almost every industrial motor control application.
The team at Sprint Electric secured investments totalling £2.5m to help enter the AC VSD (variable-speed drives) market with a new range boasting unique regenerative capabilities. The team has been developing the new drive over the past five years in partnership with University of Nottingham as part of a Knowledge Transfer Partnership.
The Sprint team will be exhibiting and delivering technical presentations at SPS in November, located at Stand 4 – 340 in Hall 4. The exhibition will see the unveiling of the new Generis, a drive that represents the next generation of AC technology with unique energy regeneration capabilities.
