Sprint Electric enjoyed a successful time at Drives and Controls as part of Smart Manufacturing Week at the NEC, with a very high level of engagement and several live enquiries regarding its range of fully regenerative AC and DC drives.
Alan Baird, Head of Sales for AC products, expressed his enthusiasm about the level of engagement towards the AC drive, Generis:
“The stand visitors were clearly interested in Generis with its ultra-low harmonic and fully regenerative capabilities. The pressure on manufacturers to minimise grid distortion and reduce energy consumption has never been greater.
“We are committed to helping our customers by supplying our grid-friendly AC drives which also improve operational efficiency while cutting costs. Having Generis on display allowed delegates to experience the drive in its true form and showcased its compact size and weight in comparison with equivalent AC drives on the market.

“Announcing our key partnership with TEC Electric Motors was a brilliant step forward for Generis. TEC has a very strong reputation for reliability and technical excellence and will be a vital part of our business moving forward,” said Alan.
Gary Keen, director, enjoyed reconnecting with industry leaders and learning about the developments across UK manufacturing:
“The Sprint stand provided the perfect platform to catch up with connections from across industry. Drives and Controls was a well-run exhibition with plenty of buzz. It was a pleasure to exchange insights and catch up with the latest from across the entire sector. We discussed the advantages of Sprint Electric’s drive solutions with new prospects as well as long-standing customers, in particular, the regenerative qualities of our DC and AC range.
“We are here to support our global customers with their industrial power requirements and look forward to further showcasing our advanced motor control products in the near future,” said Gary.
